Now that we are home from school and work, social media has offered more than the usual distraction with catchy TikTok dances and majestic cat fails. You can take free coding classes, visit the Great Wall of China, or watch a live stream of penguins playing at the Kansas City Zoo. One of our favorites comes from the Getty Museum in LA, where they have challenged their Instagram followers to take inspiration from famous art by recreating the pieces at home. The goal? Find an artwork, pick three objects from around your house, and share! Some of you accepted this same challenge from the Art Specialists or from Ms. Bearden on her Choice Board; send us your pictures and we will post them in this space during the next few weeks. Here is a fun recreation of Piet Modrian's Composition with Red, Blue and Yellow; see the original in the thumbnail.
