Original poems by the Promoting Students of 2022, Grade 8
Inspired by the work they did throughout the year in Mr. Cohen's class, the eighth graders reflected on what resilience looks like and feels like to them. Modern haikus do not necessarily follow the traditional 5-7-5 syllable pattern, but they do have a pattern. Students shared a controlling idea or image so readers could find a connection to the theme or to the individual student. These are the haikus they will share at Promotion on June 2!
